Setup & storage
Let the app and conversion resources load online. Activate a paid license in the
License tab. You can install the app in supported browsers.
Purchases, license recovery, and updates need internet. Keep a copy of your license
and download important results: clearing browser storage can remove the app, license,
and history.
Pay once. Keep converting.
Free: 3 images per hour. Paid licenses remove the hourly limit.
No subscription or scheduled expiry. Offline use needs cached app resources. License terms apply.
Questions?
Convert 3 images per rolling hour, with all supported input and output formats and downloadable results without watermarks. No account or payment details are required. Each successful image conversion uses one slot for an hour after it completes. Failed conversions release their reserved slots. The app shows your remaining allowance and the next available slot.
Select your images, choose one output format and a set of quality and size settings, then convert the batch. Review results and download individual images or a ZIP. The free trial allows up to 3 images within your hourly allowance. Paid licenses remove that hourly limit; the current app accepts up to 100 files per batch. Large batches depend on your device memory and browser resources.
Input: HEIC, HEIF, JPEG, JPG, PNG, WEBP, WEBM, AVIF, BMP, TIFF, TIFF64, DNG, CR2, CR3, NEF, ARW, ORF, RAF, PEF, RW2.
Output: AVIF, BMP, ICO, GIF, JPG, PNG, PSD, WEBP.
File compatibility and output limitations vary. Use representative files in the free trial before buying, especially for camera RAW formats.
Images are processed on your device, so available memory, image dimensions, format, and browser limits determine what can be converted. We do not guarantee a fixed maximum file size. Try your largest representative files before purchasing, and use smaller batches if your browser runs out of memory.
No. Image conversion happens locally in your browser. Converted files and download history are saved in browser storage and can persist after you close the app. Delete them from the Downloads tab or clear site data. The website still makes network requests for loading resources, analytics when configured, purchases, and license delivery; these are separate from image conversion.
Open the app online first and let its conversion resources load. Activate your paid license if you have one, and install the app where your browser supports it. Reopen it offline and test the formats you need before relying on it without a connection. Cached app resources and locally stored license details enable offline conversion. Purchases, license recovery, and updates require internet access. Browser storage eviction or clearing site data can remove the cached app and license.
A paid license has no scheduled expiry and no recurring subscription charge. Keep a separate copy of your license key. Offline access relies on the app resources saved by your browser. A perpetual license does not guarantee permanent website hosting, indefinite maintenance, or compatibility with future browsers. If hosting stops, an existing cached copy may continue working, but restoring cleared app resources may no longer be possible.
Use your email address when purchasing through Stripe Checkout. After payment is confirmed, the purchase page displays your license key and we attempt to send it by email. Save a copy, open the app, and paste it into the License tab. If delivery fails or you need help, email dev@compilechicken.com.
Use a modern desktop browser on Windows, macOS, or Linux. Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari are the intended browsers; format compatibility and installation support can differ. Mobile and tablet browsers are not officially supported. Test your browser and files with the free trial.
Email dev@compilechicken.com with your browser, operating system, input and output formats, and the error message. Do not send private images unless you choose to share a sample. We do not promise a fixed response time or guaranteed future feature updates.
